It has been a little quiet around the MAT 16X8 in the last few weeks. I had to take care of my actual job and couldn’t work on it as much. But things are still going on.
Three MAT 16X8s are currently in beta testing. They are used on stage, in small gigs in a bar, or even on mobile, battery-powered open air sessions in the park, and one is constantly traveling back and forth between Munich and Berlin. Everything works as expected and although the prototypes are partly built with hand-soldered wires inside, they prove to be extremely robust.
Here it is being used at a jam session in Munich. This makes it possible to mix and preview virtual instruments on the iPad and connected physical synthesizers:
A good friend even mounted it under his pedal board (He uses the board to mount all his electronic music gear on it):
